 :More Serious signs of shock Include:

    1.) Rapid, Weak Pulse.

    2.) Extreme thirst

    3.) Dilated pupils

    4.) Nausea and

    5.) Bluish lips, Nails, and lobes.

    6.) Vomiting.

:In Treating Shock, Take Emergency Steps:

    1.) Treating the cause of the shock first.

    2.)  While keeping the child lying down, Elevate the child's feet 8 to 10 inches.

    3.) Cover the child with a blanket.

    4.) Do not give the child, fluids, or medication. Do wet the child's lips with a damp cloth if child                         complains of thirst.

    5.) Observe the child's breathing and perform CPR if necessary until help arrives.

: Asthma:

  Children with asthma generally experience periods of wheezing, gasping and difficult breathing. Acute asthma attacks may be prompted by allergic reactions, emotional stress, infections, or physical activity. Certain steps can be taken to ensure the child's safety.

    1.) Call for medical help if the child is experiencing fatigue, anxiety, wheezing, Restlessness, Loss of             Consciousness, or blue discoloration of the nail beds or lips.

    2.) Administers medication in cases of emergency if provided by parents.

    3.) Reassure and Encourage the child to maintain relaxed breathing.

    4.) Keep the child in a comfortable breathing position, while contacting the child's parents.
