"Poisoning, Early of Poisoning"
1.) Poisoning:
Children may ingest a wide range of poisonous materials while at a day care facility, or even before being dropped off for the day. Poisonous materials do not only include the obvious cleaning products and chemicals under the sink. Also included are plants, berries, and aspirin. It is important for you to keep these items out of a child's reach, and to be able to detect early symptoms should poisoning occur.
2.) Early Signs Of Poisoning Include:
1.) Nausea or Vomiting
2.) Confusion, Disorientation
3.) Loss of Consciousness
4.) Cramps or Diarrhea
5.) Unusual odor or breath
6.) Cold and Clammy Skin
7.) Convulsions
8.) Restlessness.
9.) Stains around mouth area.
" If you think that a child has ingested any poisonous product, It is imperative that you immediately call Poison Control! Poison control has a hotline that is open 24 hours a day. The staff is trained to provide accurate up to date information on almost any poisonous or potentially poisonous product. They will provide first aid instructions and recommendations for treatment. The Poison Control Hotline number should be posted by every telephone.
