                                                                   " First Aid Kit"

    All childcare centers are required to have a first aid kit available at all times. The first aid kit                     should contains the following items.


    1.) Assorted sizes of adhesive strips.

    2.) Individually wrapped gauze squares.

    3.) Two inch gauze roller bandage

    4.) Adhesive tape (1/2 inch)

    5.) Clean tongue depressors to splint injured fingers.

    6.) Bandage Scissors.

    7.) Tweezers.

    8.) Instant Cold Compress.

    9.) Under arm thermometer with disposable plastic covers

    10.) Alcohol for cleaning the thermometer.

    11.) Several one ounce bottles of syrup of Ipecac.

    12.) Antiseptic Cream.

    13.) Copy of First Aid Manual.

                               " Safety Checklist"

    Preparing a safety checklist can help minimized the number of accidents and injuries that can occur in  a daycare environment. Even by partaking in the following safety measures, It is impossible to eliminate every danger  from every situation. It is imperative to have qualified adult supervision for all children at all times. Additional safety measures may be found by contacting local physicians, and by obtaining pamphlets at health centers and your local Library.
